ICD-10 coding will be mandatory as of 10-1-15. The President recently signed into law bill HR 4302 (also known as the Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014), officially delaying the ICD-10 transition until October of 2015. 

While you may now be breathing a sigh of relief, we encourage you to continue your ICD-10 preparations so that your team is fully ready and to reduce the impact this complex transition may have on your organization.

Here at Physicians Office Resource have undergone the necessary training and our software upgrades that are required by this transition are in place and we are working with our providers on the transition to ICD-10. Our Services

Physician's Office Resource offers several services that are essential to the operation of a successful medical practice:



We are a full service billing company, versus a “data entry” service. We do whatever is necessary to ensure that you are correctly reimbursed for services that you render.  We check to make certain that your diagnosis is matched to the proper level of service and correct procedural code.  We then ensure that any required treatment notes or authorizations are properly sent with the claim. Our staff also makes sure that any additional information needed on managed care or workman’s compensation claims is included. This is one of the most commonly overlooked areas in billing, which slows the reimbursement process.  Our meticulous claims filing procedures guarantees that you’re A/R’s will always be at the lowest possible level.  A/R’s are constantly monitored and problems are researched and resolved with the insurance companies. In addition to insurance billing, we process, print, and mail your patient billing statements.



Whether yours is a new practice, you are opening up a second office, adding an associate, or you would just like to expand the number of insurance panels with which you participate, we can perform all of your credentialing and re-credentialing needs for both government sponsored insurance programs (Medicare, Medicaid) or private insurance payors. Over the years, we have been responsible for credentialing dozens of providers, and can confidently navigate the required paperwork and avoid the many errors that can delay your credentials.


Revenue Enhancement and Analysis

Our billing process allows us to track your revenues.  Are insurance companies paying according to your contract?  Is your Medicaid caseload creeping upward, while your Blue Cross caseload is decreasing?  Are you billing everything that you can for every patient encounter?  We can provide answers in all of these areas, as well as coding reviews and monthly practice reviews.


Bank Deposits

A few of our providers have no office staff, or they just don’t want to be bothered with the volume of work required to make bank deposits.  For those providers who do their banking at most major banks, we have set up a Post Office box where your checks can be mailed (made out to your practice, NOT to us). We then pick up the checks, make the deposits into your bank account, and process your payments against outsanding claims- all without you lifting a finger.  An added benefit for you is that your staff never sees your monthly income.
